Richie is an artist who inherited his art ability from his mother Betty Love. He was mentored in this genre by both her and Johnny Otis. Richie picked up a paint brush and the saxophone at the same age, 6 years old. He was an Art major at Harbor College in Los Angeles. He Started his T-Shirt company at age 16 after being inspired and encouraged by master artist/musician James Higgins. Love officially launched the “Rich-Art T-Shirt co.” in 1982 with the help of his cousin Lester Abrams.
